Laurier Centre for Military, Strategic and Disarmament Studies
The Laurier Centre for
Military, Strategic and Disarmament Studies fosters research, teaching, and public discussion of
historical and contemporary military and strategic issues. The
Centre was founded in 1991 and its research activities are
multi-disciplinary, with concentrations on military history and
the strategic analysis of defence operations and peacekeeping.
LCMSDS has an extensive publications program, specializing in
books on various aspects of Canada’s military history and on
contemporary strategic questions. In 2010 the Centre launched
their new Laurier Military History
series. The Centre also publishes the
quarterly journal
Canadian Military History. Wilfrid Laurier
University Press is pleased to partner with LCMSDS to distribute
both their books and journal. Visit the Laurier Centre for
Military, Strategic and Disarmament Studies website for more
information about the Centre.
